{"id":3503,"date":"2021-12-23T11:10:10","date_gmt":"2021-12-23T10:10:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fakten-basierte-politik.de\/?post_type=news-estero&#038;p=3503"},"modified":"2021-12-28T12:45:10","modified_gmt":"2021-12-28T11:45:10","slug":"the-shadowy-cia-data-firms-behind-the-creation-of-digital-vaccine-passport-ids","status":"publish","type":"news-estero","link":"https:\/\/fakten-basierte-politik.de\/it\/news-estero\/the-shadowy-cia-data-firms-behind-the-creation-of-digital-vaccine-passport-ids\/","title":{"rendered":"Le oscure societ\u00e0 di dati della CIA dietro la creazione dei passaporti digitali dei vaccini"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In January 2021, tech giants such as Microsoft, Oracle, and MITRE Corporation announced their launch of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/vci.org\/\">Vaccination Credential Initiative<\/a>&nbsp;(VCI) in partnership with healthcare companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On their&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/vci.org\/\">website<\/a>, the VCI describes itself as an alliance of private and public organizations dedicated to the development of the \u2018issuance of verifiable health credentials\u2019 bound to an individual&nbsp;<strong>digital identity<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The VCI idea depends upon a common platform from which digital wallets can be created, and on the VCI website they call for&nbsp;<em>\u201cparticipating organizations to commit to implementing, testing, and refining the SMART Health Cards Framework within their sphere of influence.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to VCI, their&nbsp;<em>\u2018SMART Health Cards\u2019<\/em>&nbsp;are meant to&nbsp;<em>\u201cwork across organizational and jurisdictional boundaries.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>SMART health cards<\/em>&nbsp;as of now include a person\u2019s name, gender, birth date, phone number, and email address, as well as vaccination status. Developers hope, however, that these cards will eventually become all-encompassing universal digital identities that reside within a universal digital wallet.<video controls=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailyveracity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/tP1TGD-PXoWF45n4.mp4\"><\/video><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Josh Mandel, one of the main developers behind VCI\u2019s&nbsp;<em>SMART health cards<\/em>&nbsp;system,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UdlmRoJK1Yg&amp;feature=youtu.be\">said once<\/a>&nbsp;that a complete universal digital identity is \u2018essential\u2019 to the effort of creating digital vaccination passes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On their website, the group uses the term \u2018digital wallet\u2019 often and notes that&nbsp;<em>SMART Health Cards<\/em>&nbsp;could soon be used as digital IDs for all activities, including travel and every purchase an individual makes during commercial activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the \u2018about\u2019 section on their website, the group\u2019s members section includes corporations like Amazon, Microsoft,&nbsp;<strong>Google<\/strong>, Apple, and the&nbsp;<strong>MITRE Corporation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with the MITRE Corporation, one of the groups listed in the governance section on the website is the&nbsp;<strong>Commons Project Foundation<\/strong>, which is the main backer of the VCI and also hosts the VCI website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Commons Project Foundation also describes itself as a \u2018private and public alliance.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Listed on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.md\/2ERDY\">leadership board<\/a>&nbsp;of the Commons Project Foundation is the President of the Rockefeller Foundation, the Global Head of Performance at&nbsp;<strong>BlackRock<\/strong>, the senior managing director at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/2020\/02\/17\/blackstone-commercial-real-estate-business-brep-breit\/\">Blackstone Group<\/a>, and Julie Gerberding, the former director of the CDC. Gerberding once wrote an op-ed in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/6072104\/pandemic-surveillance-network\/\">Time Magazine<\/a>&nbsp;calling for an \u2018International Pandemic Surveillance Network.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many other heads of multilateral development banks (MDBs), former Goldman Sachs partners, UN advisers, and other multinational corporations listed on their assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the help of the World Economic Forum and the Rockefeller Foundation, the Commons Project Foundation runs the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.commontrustnetwork.org\/\">Common Trust Network<\/a>. Like the Vaccination Credential Initiative and the Commons Project Foundation,&nbsp;<strong>the Commons Trust Network<\/strong>&nbsp;describes itself as a \u2018private and public alliance.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The World Economic Forum\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/organizations\/commons-project\">website<\/a>&nbsp;lists the CEO and CMO of the Commons Project Foundation as Paul Meyer and Bradley Perkins respectively. Following his career at the US Center for Disease Control, Perkins&nbsp;was on the advisory board for the RAND Corporation, and his Partner Paul Meyer wrote President Clinton\u2019s speeches while attending Yale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In partnership with the World Economic Forum and the Rockefeller Foundation \u2014 as well as an almost endless list of corporations and government agencies \u2014 the Commons Project Foundation created the CommonPass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the World Economic Forum\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.md\/Z2TG2\">website<\/a>, just like the VCI, the Commons Project Foundation seeks to&nbsp;<em>\u201cdevelop and launch a&nbsp;<strong>standard global model<\/strong>&nbsp;to enable people to securely document and present their COVID-19 status to facilitate international travel and border crossing.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The site states that their \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.md\/Z2TG2\">CommonPass<\/a>\u2018 is powered by their&nbsp;<em>\u201cCommonTrust Network\u2122 Registry and VCI\u2122 Directory<\/em>.\u201d and will&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.commontrustnetwork.org\/network\">allow individuals<\/a>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/commonpass.org\/\">document<\/a>&nbsp;their&nbsp;<em>\u201cCOVID-19 status to satisfy country or state entry requirements,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>\u201caccess lab results and vaccination records when you need it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailyveracity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/graphic-from-commonpass-1024x301-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5672\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailyveracity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Screenshot-2021-12-14-133950.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5671\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailyveracity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/CommonPass-Overview-1024x504.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5674\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mintpressnews.com\/commonpass-new-covid-security-measures-will-make-health-a-prerequisite-for-travel\/272298\/\">MintPress News<\/a>, the cofounders of the Commons Project Foundation have a longstanding relationship with the International Rescue Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In one&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/unlimitedhangout.com\/2020\/07\/reports\/charity-accused-of-sex-abuse-coordinating-id2020s-pilot-program-for-refugee-newborns\/\">article<\/a>, Journalist Whitney Webb noted that the CEO of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyveracity.com\/2021\/08\/31\/thousands-of-afghan-refugees-arrive-in-idaho-wisconsin-and-washington\/\">International Rescue Committee<\/a>&nbsp;developed a pilot program in Myanmar for the digital biometric identification system, supported by the&nbsp;<strong>ID2020 alliance<\/strong>. According to Webb, the ID2020 Alliance is backed by Microsoft and directly funds the Commons Project Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201ciRespond, an international&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.irespond.org\/\">non-profit organization<\/a>&nbsp;that is \u201cdedicated to using biometrics to improve lives through digital identity,\u201d has begun piloting&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biometricupdate.com\/202007\/from-stateless-to-self-sovereign-a-project-that-gives-life-long-identity-to-the-worlds-invisibles-beginning-at-birth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a new biometric program for newborns<\/a>&nbsp;among the predominately Karen refugee population along the Myanmar-Thailand border<\/em>\u2026&nbsp;<em>The pilot program is being conducted as part of the controversial ID2020 alliance, backed by Microsoft,&nbsp;<strong>the GAVI vaccine alliance<\/strong>, and the Rockefeller Foundation\u2026 iRespond is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fintechfutures.com\/2020\/05\/ibm-r3-mastercard-and-accenture-form-trust-over-ip-toip-foundation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">partnered with Mastercard<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mastercardcontentexchange.com\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2020\/may\/mastercard-joins-id2020-alliance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">another ID2020 partner<\/a>&nbsp;that is closely allied with the company, Trust Stamp, a biometric identity platform&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mintpressnews.com\/africa-trust-stamp-covid-19-vaccine-record-payment-system\/269346\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">that also doubles<\/a>&nbsp;as a vaccine record and payment system.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The push for a universal digital wallet with an all-encompassing universal digital ID came long before the onset of COVID-19. As MintPress News&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mintpressnews.com\/africa-trust-stamp-covid-19-vaccine-record-payment-system\/269346\/\">reported<\/a>&nbsp;last year, the very first pilot program for a digital identity platform was launched in 2018 in West Africa. Thanks to the GAVI vaccine alliance, which is funded in large part by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Trust Stamp, and Mastercard, the pilot program gained new life during the height of the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/truststamp.ai\/\">Trust Stamp\u2019s<\/a>&nbsp;digital identity platform was integrated into the GAVI-Mastercard \u2018Wellness Pass,\u2019 and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mastercardcontentexchange.com\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2019\/june\/mastercard-digital-wellness-program-to-enhance-transparency-security-and-choice-for-online-shopping\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">also linked<\/a>&nbsp;to Mastercard\u2019s click-to-play system. The system was also powered by its AI and machine learning technology called&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nudatasecurity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NuData<\/a>.&nbsp;Mastercard has described itself as a leader toward a&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4QZhqZ-SQa8\">\u201cWorld Beyond Cash,\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em>which is why their pay system, along with other credit card companies, plays essential roles in the push for digital IDs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because digital currencies are necessary for a&nbsp;<em>world beyond cash<\/em>, it is no surprise that Vaccine Credential Initiative member Microsoft&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/microsoft-cryptocurrency-system\/\">patented technology<\/a>&nbsp;in 2019 that could leverage body activity such as brain waves to mine cryptocurrency among other potential uses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cFor example, instead of massive computation work required by some conventional cryptocurrency systems, data generated based on the body activity of the user can be a proof-of-work, and therefore, a user can solve the computationally difficult problem&nbsp;<strong>unconsciously,<\/strong>\u201c<\/em>&nbsp;the patent explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past few years, there has been a major push by the same dozen or so \u2018private-public alliances\u2019 toward a complete transformation of the world economy. Michael Bloomberg\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyveracity.com\/2021\/12\/07\/climate-alarmism-a-land-grab-manufactured-and-funded-by-bankers-for-bankers\/\">\u2018New Economy Forum\u2019<\/a>&nbsp;has been extensively involved in the push for this transformation. On the board of Bloomberg\u2019s New Economy Forum is&nbsp;<strong>the head of Binance<\/strong>, Changpeng Zhao, as well as other key figures who are also involved in the push for digital IDs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The forum is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloombergneweconomy.com\/nef2021\/leadership\/\">led by<\/a>&nbsp;Bill Gates, Henry Kissinger, and Penny Pritzker, as well as a dozen other board members with ties to multinational firms like Goldman Sachs. Former Governor of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyveracity.com\/2021\/12\/13\/chinas-economy-has-collapsed-and-its-about-to-bring-the-world-economy-down-with-it\/\">People\u2019s Bank of China<\/a>&nbsp;Zhou Xiaochuan is on the board as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailyveracity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Screenshot-2021-12-06-215253-1160x749-1-1024x661.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5697\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On their&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/id2020.org\/manifesto\">manifesto<\/a>, the ID2020 Alliance describes itself as a \u2018Global private-public partnership\u2019 which brings together technologists, advocates, implementers, and funders toward a good digital ID for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the guise of \u2018closing the identity gap\u2019 for the \u2018one billion people on earth\u2019 who cannot prove who they are, the ID2020 alliance pledges to pave the way to create a universal digital identification system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/id2020.org\/alliance\">partnership<\/a>&nbsp;with Facebook, Mastercard, iRespond, Microsoft, Gavi, The Rockefeller Foundation, and others, the ID2020 Alliance says the program will&nbsp;<em>\u2018proceed in four phases from&nbsp;<strong>mid-2021 to late 2025<\/strong>.\u2019<\/em>&nbsp;On their website, they hypothesize that the future \u2018biometric digital ID\u2019&nbsp;<strong>will be linked with humans from the point of birth to the point of death.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dakota Gruener is the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/id2020.org\/leadership\">Executive Director<\/a>&nbsp;of ID2020, and launched the group in 2016, following her work at Gavi where she served as an aide to the CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On their website&nbsp;<strong>Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance<\/strong>&nbsp;states that their group has&nbsp;<em>\u2018provided access to new and under-used vaccines for millions of the most vulnerable children.\u2019<\/em>&nbsp;The group claims they are&nbsp;<em>\u2018transforming the lives of individuals,\u2019 and helping to \u2018make the world safer for everyone.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gavi.org\/investing-gavi\/funding\/donor-profiles\/bill-melinda-gates-foundation\">funding section<\/a>&nbsp;of their website, the group describes Bill Gates as a founding member and says that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has donated over $4 billion to the cause to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cAs a founding partner of Gavi,&nbsp;the Gates Foundation&nbsp;has brought international attention to the cause of immunization and has made several commitments to Gavi, totaling<\/em>&nbsp;USD 4.1 billion to date<em>.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailyveracity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Screenshot-2021-12-16-103326-1024x483.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5703\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><video controls=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailyveracity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/DVExnr9tKTtHhQsf.mp4\"><\/video><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another important group involved in the creation of the universal digital ID is the<strong>&nbsp;\u2018COVID-19 Healthcare Coalition.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Describing itself as a \u2018private-public partnership\u2019 as well, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/c19hcc.org\/impact-report\/\">COVID-19 Healthcare Coalition<\/a>&nbsp;says that a \u2018key objective\u2019 driving the coalition is a&nbsp;<em>\u201csubstantial infrastructure to collaborate, collect, analyze, visualize, and&nbsp;<strong>share data<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>and insights from close to 1,000 member organizations&nbsp;<\/strong>in a trusted and secure manner.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the coalition\u2019s website, they describe their vision as an infrastructure that would quickly provide members and many other stakeholders with tools and information&nbsp;<em>\u201cthey could use to make decisions on how to keep their populations safe.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group states that they&nbsp;<em>\u201cachieved that vision within weeks thanks to the leadership and extraordinary contributions of members.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group\u2019s partner list they give credit for making this possible includes Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, and CIA contractor MITRE. Their member list also includes hundreds of other private and public organizations including the CIA\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>Palantir<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Diagnostic Robotics<\/strong>, an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbinsights.com\/company\/diagnostic-robotics\">Israeli-based<\/a>&nbsp;firm contracted to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nocamels.com\/2020\/07\/mayo-clinic-diagnostic-robotics-ai-system\/\">create contact tracing software<\/a>&nbsp;and an&nbsp;<em>\u201cartificial intelligence platform that predicts patients\u2019 hospitalization risk.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/israel-wields-startup-tech-against-coronavirus-second-wave\/\">Times of Israel<\/a>, in mid-2020 Diagnostic Robotics teamed up with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/startupnationcentral.org\/about-start-up-nation-central\/\">Start-Up Nation Central<\/a>, an organization that seeks to&nbsp;<strong>compel the United States<\/strong>&nbsp;into becoming more dependent on technology developed by Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likely inspired by the book \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Start-up-Nation-Israels-Economic-Miracle\/dp\/0446541478\">Start-Up<\/a>&nbsp;Nation,\u2019 Start-Up Nation Central was funded mostly by Jewish-American billionaire Paul Singer. Controversial for his role in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/paul-singer-sidney-nebraska-cabelas-bass-pro-shops-merger\">destruction of a small town<\/a>&nbsp;in Nebraska, and the part he played in the think tank&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/orig\/stockbauer1.html\">Project for a New American Century<\/a>, Singer founded the organization and has funneled tens of millions of dollars into it since 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Israel\u2019s government has been closely connected to the global pandemic response and the development of tools for contact tracing and vaccine passport systems. In addition to the response to the coronavirus pandemic, the country has also been intimately involved with the planning for a global response to a potential \u2018cyber pandemic.\u2019 In partnership with ten other countries as well as the IMF and World Bank, Israel\u2019s Ministry of Finance recently hosted&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/cyber-markets-attack-simulation-idAFL1N2SU0Y0\">a cyber pandemic exercise<\/a>&nbsp;simulating a cyberattack on the global financial system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other backers of the Vaccine Coalition Initiative and groups involved with Gavi, the Commons Project Foundation, and ID2020 Alliance are&nbsp;<strong>Oracle<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Salesforce.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salesforce is one of the companies behind the creation of&nbsp;<strong>COVID 360<\/strong>&nbsp;which uses technology developed by Diagnostic Robotics to identify individuals at risk and recommend testing or treatment based on a profile generated by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC8012042\/\">COVID 360<\/a>&nbsp;program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The founder of Salesforce, Marc Benioff, is the former vice president of Oracle and a current member of the World Economic Forum\u2019s board of trustees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to journalist&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/unlimitedhangout.com\/\">Whitney Webb<\/a>, Benioff is also a strong advocate for Klaus Schwabb\u2019s call for a&nbsp;<strong><em>\u2018Fourth Industrial Revolution.\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cBenioff is not only a member of the WEF\u2019s board of trustees, but he is also the inaugural chair of the forum\u2019s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, a \u201crevolution\u201d that its architect and WEF founder Klaus Schwab&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/focus\/fourth-industrial-revolution\" target=\"_blank\">defines<\/a>&nbsp;as a merging of humans\u2019 physical, digital, and biological identities. It was run by an FBI hacking unit in Quantico, the Operational Technology Division, and funded by a previously unreported research funding body called Triad,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;reports Forbes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailyveracity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/MITRE-leadership-appointments-1024x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5712\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ORACLE<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oracle Corporation&nbsp;is an American&nbsp;multinational&nbsp;computer&nbsp;technology corporation&nbsp;headquartered in Austin Texas and the second-biggest software development company in the US based on revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like many of the other compa<em>nies listed on the websites of these \u2018private-public alliances,\u2019<\/em>&nbsp;Oracle is a major player involved in the data gathering and software development necessary for future digital IDs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like MITRE, Palantir, and Google \u2014 according to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/larry-ellisons-oracle-started-as-a-cia-project-1636592238\">Gizmodo<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014 Oracle also started as a CIA Project and takes its name from a 1977 CIA operation with the same codename. Similar to In-Q-Tel and Palantir \u2014 two groups closely involved with every aforementioned private-public alliance \u2014 Oracle\u2019s very first customer was&nbsp;<strong>the CIA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/larry-ellisons-oracle-started-as-a-cia-project-1636592238\">Gizmodo<\/a>, VOX&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/2014\/9\/18\/6425315\/oracle-explained\">wrote<\/a>&nbsp;an extensive expos\u00e9 in 2014 detailing the birth of Oracle, without ever mentioning the company would have never existed without the help and initial funding of the CIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cRecognizing the potential demand for a commercial database product, [Ellison] founded the company that became Oracle in 1977,\u201d Vox writes, conspicuously omitting the whole \u201cbecause CIA wanted a relational database\u201d part of the history.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PALANTIR:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Palantir Technologies \u2014 an American software company that specializes in big data mining and analytics \u2014 is also a member of the COVID-19 Healthcare Coalition. According to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/general\/biotech\/20\/11\/18449135\/covid-vaccine-logistics-to-start-as-sprint-turn-into-marathon\">Benzinga<\/a>, the Tiberius platforms was also involved in the clinical trials of the development of the current COVID-19 vaccines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2020\/04\/01\/palantir-coronavirus-cdc-nhs-gotham-foundry\/\">Tech Crunch<\/a>, Palantir also built the CDC\u2019s web app for monitoring the spread of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Palantir\u2019s Gotham software is also being used by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to collect all necessary data related to COVID-19, and to&nbsp;<em>\u2018predict outbreaks weeks in advance.\u2019<\/em>&nbsp;Palantir\u2019s software powers the department\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fedhealthit.com\/2020\/05\/news-info-park-hhs-protect-palantir-healthcare-data-project-for-coronavirus\/\"><strong>HHS Protect<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;operation and according to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/science.sciencemag.org\/content\/369\/6502\/356.full\">Science Magazine<\/a>, Palantir was aggregating and managing any and all related data in regards to the spread of the coronavirus on behalf of the HHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HHS Protect came under fire last year after the HHS&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/08\/25\/us\/politics\/trump-coronavirus-data.html\">threatened<\/a>&nbsp;US hospitals with loss of federal funding if they did not report all case and patient data exclusively to their system. HHS protect is a platform Palantir developed that would be&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/07\/15\/us\/politics\/coronavirus-database.html\">run by another company<\/a>&nbsp;called&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teletracking.com\/\">TeleTracking.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yahoo News&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/now\/nih-continues-collaboration-palantir-technologies-105900045.html\">reported<\/a>&nbsp;in October that the National Institute&nbsp;of Health (<strong>NIH<\/strong>) was also working directly with Palantir to&nbsp;<em>\u2018Support COVID-19 Research<\/em>.\u2019 The NIH awarded the data-mining firm with a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beckershospitalreview.com\/healthcare-information-technology\/nih-awards-palantir-59-5-million-for-covid-19-data-platform-3-notes.html\">$59.5 million contract<\/a>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<em>\u2018support the National COVID-19 Cohort Collaborative.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the HHS teams up with various CIA-backed data mining firms, the agency is also forming partnerships with&nbsp;<strong>DARPA<\/strong>&nbsp;according to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.phe.gov\/ASPRBlog\/pages\/BlogArticlePage.aspx?PostID=318\">Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThat spirit of interagency collaboration is reflected in a new partnership forged between&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.phe.gov\/about\/aspr\/Pages\/default.aspx\">ASPR<\/a>&nbsp;and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency \u2013&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.darpa.mil\/\">DARPA<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 to strengthen the capabilities needed to protect the nation from 21st-century health security threats\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The partnership agreement, signed just days before the National Biodefense Strategy was released, will focus on research, development, and deployment of medical countermeasures and advanced technologies that advance U.S. readiness to respond to health security threats. Bush administration and was called the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/President%27s_Surveillance_Program\"><strong>President\u2019s Surveillance Program<\/strong><\/a>, (PSP) This program involved&nbsp;data mining&nbsp;of a large database of the communications of American citizens, including e-mail communications, telephone conversations, financial transactions, and Internet activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project Topsail<\/strong>, or otherwise known as&nbsp;<em>Project Genoa II<\/em>, primarily focused on intelligence analyses with a goal to&nbsp;<em>\u2018develop and deploy cognitive aids that allow humans and machines to \u201cthink together\u201d in real-time about complicated problems.\u2019&nbsp;<\/em>The project is strikingly similar to technology&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/microsoft-cryptocurrency-system\/\">recently patented<\/a>&nbsp;by Microsoft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2002, Tom Armour, a veteran of the Genoa project, was selected by&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Poindexter\">John Poindexter<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;to be the director of the new Genoa II program, a component of&nbsp;the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Total_Information_Awareness\">Total Information Awareness<\/a>&nbsp;(TIA) effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.md\/E8DWs\">Intelligencer<\/a>, Poindexter in collaboration with Iraq War architect&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/original.antiwar.com\/dan_sanchez\/2015\/06\/29\/clean-break-to-dirty-wars\/\">Richard Perle<\/a><\/strong>, played an essential role in the formation of Palantir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project PRISM<\/strong>&nbsp;was a program under which the&nbsp;NSA collects&nbsp;internet&nbsp;communications from various U.S. internet companies. PRISM collects stored internet communications based on demands made to internet companies such as&nbsp;Google under Section 702 of the&nbsp;FISA Amendments Act of 2008,&nbsp;which forces companies to turn over any data that&nbsp;<strong>match court-approved search terms.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PRISM is one of many programs that are definitely not defunct. Forbes&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/thomasbrewster\/2021\/10\/04\/google-keyword-warrants-give-us-government-data-on-search-users\/?sh=41a3b52c7c97\">revealed<\/a>&nbsp;in October that an&nbsp;<strong>accidentally unsealed court document<\/strong>&nbsp;showed that the U.S. government is secretly ordering Google to provide data on anyone typing in certain search terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This process is similar to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/thomasbrewster\/2021\/08\/31\/google-dragnets-on-phone-data-across-13-kenosha-protest-arsons\/\"><strong>geofence warrants<\/strong>,<\/a>&nbsp;where investigators ask Google to provide information on anyone within the location of a crime scene at any given time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PRISM\u2019s existence was leaked in 2013 by NSA contractor&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2013\/7\/17\/4517480\/nsa-spying-prism-surveillance-cheat-sheet\">Edward Snowden<\/a><\/strong>, who warned that the extent of mass data collection was far greater than the public knew, and included what he characterized as \u201cdangerous\u201d and \u201ccriminal\u201d activities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"google-chromebooks-data-collection-and-virtual-learning\">Google Chromebooks, Data Collection, and Virtual Learning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mercuryllc.app.box.com\/s\/53n19nhwnq6ekpxoagkoag1vf21tv49y\">national poll<\/a>, for months the majority of America\u2019s public school students were learning exclusively online, due to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the poll, which surveyed more thousands of public school parents in late September 2020, 58% of students overall were learning entirely online, while another 18% were receiving a combination of remote and in-person instruction. Less than a quarter of students were learning fully in-person at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But even now that students are back in school and learning in person, the majority&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/iltpp.org\/in-the-news\/chromebooks-in-education-everything-you-need-to-know\">are still using<\/a>&nbsp;<em><strong>Google Chromebooks<\/strong>,<\/em>&nbsp;submitting all of their work through&nbsp;<em><strong>Google classroom<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the height of the pandemic, if a school or a student could not afford a&nbsp;<em>Chromebook<\/em>, Google would sometimes&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/larryferlazzo.edublogs.org\/2020\/03\/15\/google-is-providing-free-chromebooks-to-students-without-devices-in-closed-japanese-schools-how-about-here\/\">give them out for free<\/a>&nbsp;via their&nbsp;<em>\u2018Google for Education Distance Learning Support Program.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many argue that the now wide use of Google&nbsp;<em>Chromebooks&nbsp;<\/em>via the platform&nbsp;<em>Google Classroom<\/em>&nbsp;is just yet another \u2018front\u2019 for the surveillance state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, the&nbsp;<strong>World Economic Forum<\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2021\/12\/covid-19-education-digital-divide\/\">called for<\/a>&nbsp;<em>\u2018connecting every sch<\/em>ool to the internet,\u2019 and last month America\u2019s largest teacher\u2019s union \u2014 which has a long history of working with IBM to drive the evolution of automated \u201cteaching machines\u201d \u2014&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/unlimitedhangout.com\/2021\/11\/investigative-reports\/americas-largest-teachers-unions-push-vaccine-mandates-that-will-usher-in-technocratic-digital-id\/\">advocated for<\/a>&nbsp;universal digitally verifiable vaccine mandates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In early 2020, Google was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2020\/2\/20\/21145698\/google-student-privacy-lawsuit-education-schools-chromebooks-new-mexico-balderas\"><strong>sued<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;by the attorney general of New Mexico for collecting student data through their&nbsp;<em>Chromebooks<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas alleged the company violated the privacy of students who use free&nbsp;<em>Chromebooks<\/em>&nbsp;provided to schools through the company\u2019s&nbsp;<em>G Suite for Education platform<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cStudent safety should be the number one priority of any company providing services to our children, particularly in schools,\u201d&nbsp;<\/em>said Balderas.&nbsp;<em>\u201cTracking student data without parental consent is not only illegal, it is dangerous, and my office will hold any company accountable who compromises the safety of New Mexican children.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since then another class-action lawsuit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.classaction.org\/blog\/class-action-googles-school-issued-chromebooks-collect-kids-face-templates-voiceprints-other-highly-sensitive-data\"><strong>was filed<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;against Google for the same reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suit, filed by an Illinois father, alleges the tech company has illegally&nbsp;<em>\u2018collected, stored and used the personally identifiable biometric information of children under 13 years old who use the \u201cG Suite for Education\u201d platform on ChromeBook laptops issued to certain schools
